We created a fully bilingual, e-commerce website with a fresh, modern look, incorporating the new Y Sied logo across the site to underpin the company rebranding.
The user-friendly online shop allows clients to book workshops, room hire and buy merchandise via platforms like PayPal and Stripe and is fully integrated with the client’s payment system, Square.
Information sharing was enhanced by embedding an easily updateable, Google-fed events calendar and downloadable, printable menus. A multiple list sign-up facility in the newsletter area allows for more targeted marketing.
Domain name and email issues were the main obstacles we faced. Unfortunately, Lisa’s old provider purchased the domain in their own name (not in Lisa’s personal or business name) which meant we weren’t able to simply claim it through the main domain name provider. Pinning the developer down, getting the records updated and the domain name transferred was a time-consuming process. It was a similar situation with the emails. Instead of being set up with a 3rd party provider such as Google or Microsoft, they were also provided by the previous developer. This meant we had to back up, migrate and set them up on our server to ensure no emails were lost.
