We designed and developed a first-class bilingual website, the perfect platform to promote all the businesses that Carmarthen BID supports.
The BID team wanted to help the website users easily discover Carmarthen businesses and inspire them to visit and spend money in the town, so we ensured they had an easy-to-use interactive map, a plan your day page containing details of transport links, parking, and maps, an events page, and a news page.
The business directory allows shoppers to find what they want in sector categories and visitors can find somewhere to stay on the ‘stay’ page.
Members have their own login area, and the site has multiple payment gateways and newsletter sign up.
We provided the team with CMS training to ensure they can manage the website’s content and as it is a new venture, we also assisted the BID with its branding.
The BID team took on the challenge of providing us with information for the businesses they support, a time-consuming process for them. They did an excellent job, though, and we were given everything we needed. To have a truly bilingual website, you need to have a site that will take you to the equivalent page in Welsh if you switch languages, rather than back to the home page as many sites do. We have provided that for other clients and won the Carmarthen BID tender after being recommended to them by another digital agency. We won the tender because we came up with ideas that the BID team hadn’t considered – including having an interactive map.
