A Great PR Stunt that they got off to a ‘Tea’….

A Giant PG Tips Monkey sails down the Thames …A six metre tall green version of PG Tips’ monkey mascot floated down the Thames in London earlier this morning!!
The massive monkey model which is made from 110,486 plastic leaves is as tall as a 2 storey building.
It started out its journey from Tilbury Dock in Essex at 4:30 am. It passed under London’s famous Tower Bridge at 8 am and will be on display in the centre of London before before returning down the river this afternoon.
The PR agency W, is promoting a ‘green paper’ report from the famous tea brand that is about to be released.  The report “identifies the presence of green, from work spaces to living room walls, as having a direct impact on boosting positivity and productivity due to the primal association with nature and open spaces”, a press officer said.
Obviously this stunt has hit social media channels this morning as the brand shares footage and images from the PG’s monkey’s trip down the Thames.  What a great way to get social media buzzing!
