Black Friday is fast approaching … in fact its THIS FRIDAY!

On Black Friday, social media has great potential to engage and increase a business or brand’s reach, whether it’s via information, give-away, a competition, or exclusive discounts.
We have put together 5 quick tips to help you and your business with your social presence and exposure in preparation for Black Friday.
Don’t forget … its not all about just one day either as some stores and on-line retailers extend the offers so maybe run this for a little longer and get as much out of it as you can.
1.    Create A Plan
Establish the extent of your involvement in Black Friday Sales … how involved will you be?
Once you have decided on your level of involvement (I trust your taking advantage of this day and going for it !!) you need to ensure that all of your online platforms work together and are aligned to create an effective Black Friday digital marketing campaign.
Preparation is key for any business so you need to plan out the whole campaign from start to finish and will take away the mad rush of stress on the day itself.
Set achievable goals before choosing what promotions you are going to run through social media.
2.    Get Active
By scheduling what goes out on social media ahead of time, you can let your customers know about your offers in advance. Build up the campaign and the excitement levels in advance so customers are kept interested.
Many customers will be researching the best deals before the big day. Before Black Friday, you might consider running some social media campaigns to get attention of potential buyers. This will also let your customers know that you’re taking part in Black Friday.
Using all the buzz #hashtags like #BlackFriday will help increase the visibility of your posts before and during the shopping event.
3.    Listen Out & Respond
Keep a track on what is happening on your social media accounts, especially if someone mentions your brand, product or service. Potential customers love companies that are attentive and is quick to respond so make sure you listen to your audience and respond to messages and queries quickly.
Social listening tools let you know what people are saying across social media platforms so make sure your in it to win it.
4.    Keep Customers up to Date
Increase and polish customer loyalty and keep them informed of any business activity that may change over the festive season via your social media accounts.
For example; festive opening hours, late night opening, weekend opening, Christmas jumper days, free mince pies etc.
5. Monitor, Measure and Record
Remember to look at the information and results from your social media platforms and take note of  what worked and what didn’t.
Split test some posts and see what works and what doesn’t.
Monitoring and recording all of this will help your business improve and allow your company to improve its social media strategy for next year’s Black Friday event.
